Front Page Sports: Ski Racing simulates the four World Cup skiing variants: Slalom, Giant Slalom, Super Giant Slalom and Downhill. The game focuses on a realistic gameplay, so there are more maneuvers necessary then just steering the skis in the right direction. The player also has to edge his turns and prepare for the jumps. Other tricks like back flips can be performed while jumping but there is no playing mode which utilizes them. The six courses are based on real ones: four American and two European. In the training mode the player can familiarize himself with the courses as well as setting the wind, weather and snow. The season mode offers multiple races, either in one or all skiing variants, in which points are rewarded for the most successful skier. Who has the most at the end of the season wins the Sierra-Cup.
